The latest report from the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) shows that global grain production is expected to reach a record high of 2.925 billion tons, an increase of 2.3% compared to the previous year. Among them, wheat production is 805.3 million tons and coarse grains 1.262 billion tons. The growth in production mainly comes from bumper wheat harvests in India and Pakistan (India's record high) and increased corn production in Brazil and India, reflecting the strong performance of agricultural production in Asia and South America.

However, the report also warns of regional imbalance risks: Ukraine's production is expected to decline due to conflict and drought, and the planting area in the European Union has shrunk. Moreover, the potential high-temperature and drought weather in the Northern Hemisphere in the future will threaten corn production. Particularly noteworthy is that the expected rice production in India has been continuously raised, while the planting area in Southeast Asian countries such as Bangladesh and Vietnam has increased. This will reshape the global rice trade pattern and bring new market opportunities for Asian agricultural foreign trade enterprises.
